American Heart Association
Our Houston Heart Walk team raised $21,060 for the American Heart Association, topping our previous year’s record of over $17,000.

Animeals on Wheels
Our staff donated 1100 lbs. of pet food for the pets of shut in senior citizens through Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston.

Child Advocates
Our staff volunteers for the Pull for Kids Classic every year. We also donate and assist with the sorting and wrapping of Christmas gifts for the children represented by Child Advocates. Child Advocates, Inc. mobilizes court appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of child abuse. They speak up for abused children who are lost in the system and guide them into safe environments where they can thrive. Rick Burnett, our VP, Regional Manager, serves on the board of directors.

Dress for Success
Our staff provides resume writing and interviewing seminars for low-income women utilizing the Dress for Success® career development services. We also sponsor clothing drives for interview outfits.

Junior Achievement
Members of our Houston staff participated in the Junior Achievement USA® educational program. The program is designed to empower young people to own their economic success. Our volunteers taught skills on fostering work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy using experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential. Our staff taught five 45-minute sessions at an elementary school, six lessons at a middle school and seven at a high school. Our staff also held a Bowl-a-thon, raising over $1800, and a Bake Sale and Breakfast Sale, raising over $325.

Our El Paso MADD Walk-a-thon team raised over $500 for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.

West Houston Assistance Ministries
